This is just not a good week for me and copying stuff onto my Braille Note. Thanks to some of you I got copying music straightened out. Now my problem is books.
I usually never have problems transferring books from bookshare or web braille onto my bn. I save the book file to My Documents then send it to my compact flash card. Today I downloaded two books off web braille, saved them in My Documents, and then sent them to my compact flash card. But when I put the compact flash card into the bn and tried to open the books, it said the folder I'd put them in contained no items. When I tried re-downloading the books, it said that those files were already on my compact flash card and if I re-downloaded them I could replace them. And the bn still says the books can't be found. I've checked the directory and any possible files on the flash card but to no avail Has anyone else had this problem and can you think of some way for me to open these books?
Sounds like you have CF issues. You might want to try reformatting your card in FAT32...or should that be NTFS? I always get those confused.
It sounds like the same problem why you couldn't play music from your CF card. It must have something to do with the way you're moving the files on there. Are you choosing send to: from the context menu, or are you copying and pasting? It shouldn't make a difference, but it's something to try. Maybe something's bad with your card reader. Try ActiveSyncing the files over and see if that makes a difference.
